ProcessWORKS training
sessions below.
ProcessWORKS
Introduction
This 2 ½ day course familiarizes students with ProcessWORKS
through lectures and hands-on exercises. As a prerequisite, the instructor may
ask that students complete an exercise and questionnaire.
ProcessWORKS
Introduction covers the topics below:
-
Understanding
concepts behind SPC and APC
-
Defining a control strategy that automatically adjusts
a process to control to target
-
Entering the process model, including prediction, target,
and actual values
-
Defining settings that will resolve at run time based
on the process model
-
Defining feedforward and feedback data
-
Automatically detecting outlier data
-
Defining tests and configuring test failure actions
-
Setting up automatic adjustments to the model
-
Defining customized charts and reports to monitor the
process
ProcessWORKS Advanced
Prerequisites:
ProcessWORKS Introduction and on-the-job ProcessWORKS experience
This 2-day course is intended for students who
who are comfortable with doing process control using ProcessWORKS. Using both lecture and hands-on exercises, the course teaches
students how to refine process control with more advanced techniques.
The ProcessWORKS Advanced course covers the
following topics:
-
Collecting and analyzing trace data
-
Monitoring control strategy performance
-
Performing multi-variate analysis
-
Controlling process with advanced tuning algorithms, such
as Cusum, Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA), and Predictor
Corrector Controller (PCC)
ProcessWORKS for Managers
This
1-day course provides a higher-level introduction to ProcessWORKS and Advanced
Process Control (APC). If you want to learn to set up and maintain
control strategies, try
ProcessWORKS Introduction.
The ProcessWORKS for Managers course provides an introduction to the following
topics:
-
Basic run-to-run control and fault detection
-
Strategies for the process model, such as retrieval of actual measurements and
automatic adjustments to the model
-
Major
ProcessWORKS concepts like indexing and partitioning
-
Run data
analysis using charts and reports
The ProcessWORKS Refresher
Prerequisites:
Basic/Intermediate ProcessWORKS and on-the-job ProcessWORKS experience
This 1-day course gives students with ProcessWORKS experience
a chance to review topics and ask in-depth questions. The course is split into a
formal morning session and an informal afternoon session.
The ProcessWORKS Refresher covers the topics
below:
-
Major ProcessWORKS concepts such as Indexing, Partitioning -
Strategy components such as data sampling plans, outputs, model
parameters, feedforwards, and settings
-
Targeted participant topics, such as SPC implementation,
basic tuning, manual tuning, charts, and reports -
Customer-specific implementation issues such as
architecture, operator interface and strategies
ProcessWORKS Maintenance
This 1-day, hands-on course equips students to maintain
existing ProcessWORKS control strategies. If you want to learn to set up control
strategies as well as maintain them, try
ProcessWORKS Introduction.
