The newest addition to the
Adventa equipment integration toolkit, AdventaEDA, enables you to talk to
the equipment that supports the SEMI Interface A standards for data
collection (commonly known as Equipment Data Acquisition) and easily pull them into your automation framework.
Interface A equipment can handle any
number of clients asking for different data (events, traces, exceptions) — all
at the same time. You no longer need a "splitter" to
distribute different sets of data to different automation clients, or a
"mediator" to prevent clients from disabling each other's requests. Your
automation, fault detection, and data collection clients can request and
retrieve exactly the data they need. With AdventaEDA as the
intermediary, your automation systems don't have to run and provide web services: the AdventaEDA server can support
any number of clients, talk to any number of equipment, and talk
a clients' own diverse languages.
Writing a generic client that can
reliably map between the automation system's data structures and the SEMI
data structures for all of the standard messages is a serious job, but AdventaEDA does all the work
for you!
