Adventa
Control Technologies, Inc. celebrates 10 years
of
service to the semiconductor industry
February 5,
2008, Plano, TX:
Adventa
Control Technologies, Inc. (ACT) proudly
celebrates
its tenth anniversary of providing control and productivity software to the
semiconductor industry. ACT established its mission statement in 1998:
“Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. provides manufacturing software
solutions focused on improving our customers’ profitability while maximizing
our shareholders value. We will support our customers with an unwavering
commitment to quality and customer service.” ACT currently serves customers
in the USA, Mexico, Asia, Japan and Europe.

On
May 8th, 1998, Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. incorporated under the
umbrella of a private equity firm,
The
Gores Group. In an interview with Business Wire in 1998,
Gores Group
chairman and chief executive officer Alec Gores
expressed confidence in the
new
company’s future. "We are making a serious commitment to serving the
semiconductor industry with the standard in factory automation software, and
we are gaining some of the most talented software engineers in the industry,
whose expertise will be key to our plans to grow this business."
His words
have proven to be prophetic. After ten profitable years, ACT is the oldest
company in the Gores affiliate.
To date, ACT’s first
product to market, ControlWORKS, has been installed on over 2000 tools
shipped worldwide. At the 1998 Semicon West tradeshow, ACT introduced
its first previously unreleased product, ProcessWORKS, which went on to
become the industry's leading
software for run-to-run advanced process control (APC). Today, Adventa
Control Technologies, Inc. has nine
products developed to increase tool productivity, eliminate operator
errors, minimize rework, eliminate scrap, and increase yields. More than
18,000 active systems worldwide use ACT software, and approximately 80% of
the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers depend on ACT software to
provide millions of dollars of positive impact to their operations every
day.
The aforementioned
"talented software engineers" who were part of the inception of Adventa
Control Technologies, Inc, continue to offer an average of twenty-two years
of specialized experience in the semiconductor industry via
ACT engineering services
and ongoing development.
ACT president Dan Schell commented, "Our success
at Adventa can be traced not only to the quality of our products but also to
the quality of each one of our employees. We continue to add significant
value to the bottom line of our customers by remaining firmly committed
to our customers." ACT has planned a luncheon in May to honor
these industry pioneers
and thank them for ten years of
loyal service.
