Adventa Control Technologies announces the upcoming availability of Interface A capabilities

January 17, 2007, Plano, TX: Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. is planning a first quarter release of its latest addition to the Adventa equipment integration product suite, AdventaEDA. AdventaEDA supports all current Interface A standards (E120, E125, E132, and E134) and integrates seamlessly with Adventa’s AutoShell, a premier automation framework that works behind the scenes to shield automation developers from the details of the communication protocols. Two new tools are provided with AdventaEDA:

• EDAMonitor is available from any web browser within a local network to effectively "listen" to established sessions between automation applications and equipment. EDAMonitor can capture message traffic in a file format that can be at a later time for testing or automation development.

• EDATester is packaged with Interface A message scenarios to characterize tools and determine their compliance.

Interface A standards allow diverse client applications to request and receive equipment data. AdventaEDA serves as the vehicle for transporting equipment data to these types of client applications. AdventaEDA currently supports the Nov-2005 SEMI Standard for Interface A messaging and will be extended as the standards evolve.
