TECH Semiconductor selects Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. for high-volume APC deployment

August 17, 2007, Plano, TX: Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. (ACT) today announced that TECH Semiconductor Singapore Pte Ltd has selected ProcessWORKS ^® APC software for high-volume deployment to all critical process areas in their Singapore facility. Founded in 1991, TECH Semiconductor Singapore Pte Ltd is a leading multi-million-dollar wafer fabrication plant producing 512-Megabit DRAM chips on 200mm wafers using 95nm technology and 1-Gigabit DRAM chips on 300mm wafers using 78nm technology. TECH Semiconductor has been an ACT customer since 1998 with fabwide deployment of ACT’s fault detection software, ARTIST™ and first licensed ProcessWORKS in 2002.

The self-contained, framework-based ProcessWORKS application enables run-to-run supervisory process control beyond traditional statistical process control and process monitoring, allowing users to define recipes in terms of desired wafer effects (such as thickness) rather than machine settings (such as time of deposition). Using a control strategy configured by the engineer, ProcessWORKS calculates settings, performs analysis of the feedback data, and adjusts the process model to keep the process on target. TECH Semiconductor joins ACT customers from Europe, North America, and Asia in choosing ProcessWORKS for their APC needs.
