Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. announces the release of
its new product suite, AdventaEDA
April
18, 2007, Plano, TX: Adventa Control
Technologies, Inc. proudly announces the release of its latest addition to
the Adventa equipment integration product suite, AdventaEDA. AdventaEDA
enables you to talk to the equipment that supports the SEMI Interface A
standards for data collection (commonly known as Equipment Data Acquisition)
and easily pull them into your automation framework.
Interface A standards (E120,
E125, E132, and E134) allow diverse client applications to request and
receive equipment data. Because Interface A equipment can simultaneously
handle any number of clients asking for different data (events, traces,
exceptions), you no longer need a "splitter" to distribute different sets of
data to different automation clients or a "mediator" to prevent clients from
disabling each other’s requests. AdventaEDA serves as the vehicle for
transporting equipment data to diverse client applications, enabling your
automation, fault detection, and data collection clients to request and
retrieve exactly the data they need.
AdventaEDA includes EDATester,
which invokes web services on the equipment and displays the results on an
easy-to-read user interface. EDATester also includes a graphical data
collection plan editor that uses the equipment self-description to display
the available events, exceptions, and variables. AdventaEDA supports all
current Interface A standards and integrates seamlessly with Adventa’s
AutoShell, a premier automation framework that works behind the scenes to
shield automation developers from the details of the communication
protocols.
With AdventaEDA as the
intermediary, your automation systems don't have to run and provide web
services: the AdventaEDA server can support any number of clients, talk to
any number of equipment, and talk the clients' own diverse languages. “We’re
encouraged by the enthusiasm with which our customers have greeted this new
product. AdventaEDA will make the job of automating Interface A equipment
easier,” said Richard Beaver, Director of System Integration and Control
Systems.
