partners with EigenVector Research, Inc. to offer multivariate analysis capabilities

April 4, 2006, Plano, TX: Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. has partnered with EigenVector Research, Inc. (EVRI) to enrich Adventa’s Artist software with multivariate analysis (MVA) capabilities. MVA techniques enable data analysis, which may illuminate relationships among many measurements. With MVA, engineers are able to model poorly understood processes and highly complex interactions, as well as automate responses to MVA models.

The partnership of EVRI’s Toolbox with Adventa’s Artist allows Artist users to reap the many benefits of EVRI’s solid expertise in MVA while simultaneously taking advantage of Adventa’s proven track record in enterprise fault detection, response, and integration architectures. Using multivariate analysis techniques, engineers gain insight into processes by interacting with models and data. This insight often leads to new heuristic modeling techniques. Using Artist’s heuristic fault modeling tools and MVA, engineers can analyze process runs in large batches to programmatically identify groups of interest.

The Artist tool monitoring and fault detection application is used on virtually all process tool types in semiconductor manufacturing factories. Engineers are able to easily develop human-readable custom models based on the individual engineer’s experience. When a model detects an emerging condition, it can draw on a range of actions from simple notification to actively resolving the issue. Artist detects problems early to predict maintenance needs and prevent equipment damage.

EVRI is a Washington-based Chemometrics Research and Applications company that provides advanced chemometrics support for the semiconductor and chemical process industries, consumer product manufacturers, and analytical instrument developers.

Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. provides control and productivity software to semiconductor OEM's and semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
