Plano, TX: August 20 Adventa Announces Major Sale to Singapore Foundry Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. (a Gores Technology Company) announced a third, follow-on contract with a large semiconductor foundry in Singapore. A representative for Adventa Control Technologies, Inc announced this morning, “This installation is Phase III with this customer. In Phase I, they completed a rapid deployment of our AutoShell product for equipment integration. In Phase II, they installed TIMS, our Fault Detection product, on more than 500 tools in about six months. This morning we are announcing Phase III, which will implement run-to-run or Advanced Process Control (APC) using our ProcessWORKS software.” In recent years, the semiconductor industry has embraced run-to-run process control to reduce manufacturing cost, reduce process and product variability, and dramatically improve fab productivity. “This installation in Singapore is further evidence that APC is far more than a single product," said Adventa's representative. “A production worthy, fab-wide implementation of APC requires robust equipment integration to the factory, comprehensive recipe management capability, fab-wide equipment and process fault detection and finally, an extremely robust run-to-run control software product that addresses fab-wide APC, not point solutions on various production tools.
