Plano, TX: July 26 Adventa Sets Sales Record During Industry Downturn In spite of a down year for the semiconductor industry, Adventa Control Technologies, is having its best year in software sales. Widely known for machine, factory and process control software, Adventa now enjoys a prominent position in APC/run-to-run control, machine control, e-diagnostics, equipment integration software and factory-MES products. “With software solutions serving many different aspects of semiconductor manufacturing, we are having our best year in software sales. Our growth this year is driven by several factors. Many of the major equipment OEM’s are presently shipping 200 and 300mm tools with our machine control software. Device manufacturers are using our MES products for equipment integration, equipment monitoring, recipe management, e-diagnostics and run-to-run process control,” says a representative for Adventa. “While 300mm equipment deliveries will slow in the near term, demand at the factory level for our automation, productivity and process control solutions will be strong for the foreseeable future. Despite our industry’s downturn in semiconductor equipment and product sales, we’ve opened a new sales and engineering support office in Munich, expanded our capabilities in Tokyo, signed a VAR for Taiwan and China and expanded our sales and engineering support organization here in the U.S.” The customer motivation to buy our products changes from growth to declining years in our industry. In growth years, equipment OEM’s license our machine control software to achieve a short time-to-market cycle for their new tools. For device manufacturers, our MES products give them additional fab capacity. When the market is down, the buying dynamic changes.
