Adventa Announced Today That it Has Opened an Engineering Support Office in Munich, Germany Adventa Control Technologies, formerly a software business unit of Texas Instruments, provides machine control software to equipment OEM’s and factory control (MES) software to device manufacturers worldwide. “With an extremely large installed base in the U.S. for our Advanced Process Control (APC) software, we’ve now expanded our customer base to Europe,” reports a representative for Adventa. “As you know, ProcessWORKS, our APC product, is now the second generation of a model-based process control software product that Texas Instruments first installed in a production fab in 1978. In the last year, we’ve seen rapid growth in the use and adoption of APC technology in Europe. To support our customers in that region, we’ve opened an office in Munich with a staff that is well trained in equipment integration, process control, process modeling and the use of our many WORKS/MES modules for run-to-run process control, recipe management, equipment tracking and a host of other products that improve fab productivity.” ProcessWORKS, Adventa’s key application for advanced process control (APC) is widely used by semiconductor device manufacturers for run-to-run process control.
