Adventa Announced Today that It has Released Version 3.3.0 of ProcessWORKS, its Industry-leading Software Product for Advanced Process Control

ProcessWORKS, used worldwide by semiconductor device manufacturers, provides run-to-run process control to improve manufacturing process control. “Our customers have shown dramatic improvements in equipment Cpk, significant reduction in the use of test/monitor wafers to verify processes and easily measured reduction in process variability,” reported a representative for Adventa. “ProcessWORKS, installed in production wafer fabs worldwide, is now connected to more than 800 tools, making it the clear market leader in Advanced Process Control (APC).

When asked about Adventa’s product development strategy, Steve Musolf, Director of Factory Control Systems Development, mentioned Adventa’s ProcessWORKS Technical Advisory Board (TAB). “Each year we bring together our worldwide ProcessWORKS customers for a meeting here at the Adventa headquarters. This forum gives our customers the opportunity to talk about their experiences using our product and meet with our development engineers for a demonstration of product features that have been implemented in the latest product release. The significance of the TAB meeting is that each customer has an opportunity to give us input concerning their company’s future plans and requirements for advanced process control,” said Musolf.

In this interview, we learned that Adventa complements ProcessWORKS with other software modules that make their APC offering a generation ahead of the competition. When we asked about Adventa’s success in rapid implementations of ProcessWORKS, Adventa's representative mentioned that the deployment of advanced process control goes far beyond an APC software solution. “Our customers are interested in a rapid installation of APC with features that are rich in process control capability. This includes fab-wide recipe management, a robust software product for equipment integration, the ability to collect data from analog and digital devices and finally, a fast response data base for efficient data storage and retrieval,” according to Adventa's representative. “As the industry moves forward with 300mm processing, APC will be commonly used to reduce manufacturing cost, reduce manufacturing variability and dramatically reduce the engineering sustaining costs for the increasingly complex manufacturing environment.”
